After extensive research and site visits both in the UK and overseas, we’ve developed a hatchery that uses incubation science and biosecurity practices. Our hatchery has been designed with guidance from the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) and other leading industry experts to ensure outstanding hatch rates, excellent welfare and full traceability at every stage.

We work with our own carefully selected eggs and trusted suppliers from across Europe and the USA, including France, Poland, Hungary, Spain and the UK. This allows us to maintain:

Our Process

Our hatching process begins with carefully selected eggs, trayed by breed and origin, and clearly labelled for full traceability. They’re first cleaned and disinfected, followed by fumigation to eliminate any risk of disease passing from the exterior of the shell to the embryo or other eggs.

We use the latest generation of incubation and hatching machines, ensuring optimal temperature, humidity, and ventilation at every stage. Our systems are monitored and alarmed 24/7, so conditions remain perfectly controlled day and night.

Only the Best

After candling, only fertile, viable eggs are moved through to hatching – reducing the risk of contamination and ensuring each chick has the best possible start.

Once hatched, chicks are quickly and gently graded, counted and placed into chick boxes. Every order includes an additional 2% as a goodwill measure, ensuring our clients always receive value and peace of mind.
